This 2-hour hands-on course will cover what Office365 can do for you. This course will include an introduction to Office365 apps including OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
This 2-hour hands-on course will include:
- Using Office 365 (online app)
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- OneDrive (version history, sharing documents, renaming documents, move and copy files, etc.)
NOTE: this course is the ONLINE version of Office365
When downloading the course files, place them on your desktop. We will move them from the desktop to OneDrive during the course. They need to be easily accessible during the course
If you have not yet created an Office365 account, follow the steps in the Prerequisites part of this screen
Understanding the Windows environment
Must have a Microsoft account. (i.e. @hotmail.com, @live.com, @msn.com, @passport.com and @outlook.com or any variant for a specific country)
To create an Office365 account, do the following:
1. Open a web browser
2. Search for Office365
3. select Create free account
4. Enter a username — the part of the email address that comes before @outlook.com
5. Select the drop down arrow at the far right of the username field to change the domain from the default outlook.com to live.com or any other domain that shows
6. Select Next
7. Enter and then re-enter a password (choose a password that you will remember)
8. Select Next
9. Continue to fill in the other information that Microsoft requires
Participants will be able to adapt to the new culture of working from home.
This course will give many tips for working successfully in the online software applications including Office365 and OneDrive. Learning what tools do what and when to use them will be invaluable
