Joyelle Jolie

Joyelle (Joy) Jolie, has been a dynamic, knowledgeable instructor and facilitator since she first started her career in 1989 at ComputerLand. Over the past 30 years, she has taught computer courses to over 20,000 students in over 100 applications to most of Canada’s top 500 companies.

She has been a highly skilled Microsoft Certified Professional and Master Instructor since 2008 delivering primarily Microsoft Office training in all versions from Introduction to Programming levels. She enjoys delivering classroom and webinar training as well as creating and sharing fun and educational video tutorials on many topics and applications for her clients and students. In addition, Joy is an instructional designer who builds courses for clients and designs learner-focused training programs using the latest technology to suit the needs of the learner.

Joy is also well-known and respected in the training community. As a former president of the Computer Trainer’s Network (2006/2007) she also contributes to the development of her colleagues.

In addition, Joy has been exploring and contributing to methods and practices in building personal and community resilience. Having survived breast cancer twice using holistic healing modalities such as meditation, exercise, nutrition and now healthier than ever, she strives to maintain a positive, grounded and simple way of life. The most common compliment Joy receives is that her name suits her!

Joy has also been a volunteer and community leader for Transition Network chapters both in Toronto and Vancouver and has been studying permaculture intensively for the past five years as a member of the World Wide Organization of Organic Farmers (WWOOF). Joy is a volunteer of Deep Green Resistance a grassroots radical environmental organization based on the books of Derrick Jensen. She is a web designer for SHARE Agriculture Foundation, an charitable organization that provides support to communities in third world countries helping them to support themselves by learning sustainable agricultural practices.

Joy has travelled across Canada as well as volunteered in Ireland learning about alternative sustainable community living and is passionate about minimalism and low carbon lifestyles. She is currently a volunteer at Whole Village in Caledon, ON an ecovillage which teaches about planting trees and permaculture crops as she continues learning about healthy, thriving communities. Joy brings a wealth of real-world experience and knowledge to her sessions and presents them with playfulness and fun to help her students understand that all change and challenges present the opportunity for personal growth and spiritual development.
