It's not easy starting and growing a small business – something I've done 14 times.

Along the way I've learned a thing or two about launching a business.

My most recent companies have focused on helping small business owners succeed. I've trained and advised thousands of new small business owners through speaking engagements, webinars, seminars, workshops, launch programs and one-to-one consultations.

Much of my startup advice goes into content produced by our agency to help banks and brands engage small business owners. Content such as eBooks, how-to articles, blog posts, newsletters, infographics, advice videos, business templates, business calculators, planning tools and live webinars. We also develop Small Business Content Strategies for clients.

As a speaker and trainer, I talk about starting a business, selling to big corporations, finding financing, marketing a business and how to reach business owners. I've presented in the United States, Europe, South Korea, the Caribbean and all across Canada.

I'm co-author of the book "Thriving Solo: How to Grow a Successful Business" and a contributor to national business publications. I've also co-created a small business cartoon strip called Sully's Startup.
